Missionary Cooperative Plan 2023
The USCCB Missionary Cooperative Plan invites missionaries from all corners of the globe to visit parishes in the United States during the summer months. This program is a catalyst for parishioners to hear testimonies of the vibrancy of our Catholic Faith from those who live the Gospel message serving the poorest of our brothers and sisters, the abandoned, infirmed, and the marginalized groups in urban and rural areas of the developing world.
The Sisters Servants of the Visitation and the Guardians of the Visitation have joyfully accepted an invitation to visit parishes in the Diocese of Buffalo Y and in the Archdiocese of Milwaukie, WI this summer! Sr. Rubi Arellano, SSV will return to the US for MCP 2023 in the month of August. Dates and details will be available in May.

The Sisters of the Visitation as a Missionary Congregation have always been dedicated to serving the needs of others, and their mission aligns perfectly with Pope Francis' theme for Mission Sunday 2023: "Hearts on Fire, Feet on the Move." This theme was inspired by the story of Jesus on the road to Emmaus after the Resurrection, and it calls on Catholics around the world to renew their commitment to spreading the Gospel message through word and deed.
The Sisters of the Visitation take this call to heart and are actively working to live out this theme in their daily lives. They are dedicated to bringing the love of Christ to those in need by helping to renew faith and hope in their local communities where they serve at fourteen mission sites around the world.
The Sisters of the Visitation Missionary Congregation charism is manifested in service to the poor and marginalized through a wide range of ministries, including providing housing, education, healthcare, and social services. They work tirelessly to alleviate the suffering of those in need and to bring hope and healing to communities living on the margins affected by generational poverty.
