Sr. Jennelyn, SSV Reflects on Beginning the New Year Gift Giving
“Whatever you do to the least of my brethren you do it to me.”(Mt.25:40) These are the words of Jesus that inspired our Foundress to write in our constitution, and as a member of the congregation of the Sisters Servants of the Visitation it is my joy to be inspired with these words also. Every time I am sent to reach out the people outside, in every person or family that I encounter in that Visitation, I can’t avoid but to think of thanking God for the opportunity He has given me to serve the people. At the same time I am thankful because I can feel that in this little way, one thing I am sure is that, it is always because of God’s love that things happen. In every Visitation I do, it makes me reflect that this kind of mission will not go on without the help of our people who are generous enough to share their blessing. With the involvement to some of the party’s things happen: first and foremost, God, who continuously touches the hearts of those who receive more, send His grace, which are those “generous people with generous heart”. They continue to share their blessing to our community and support the mission and we continue to serve the people. I am thankful to be an ambassador to share to those in need whatever little we receive. It is also my consolation seeing their smile as they receive the item. In that smile I see they are grateful and contented in whatever it will be. And lastly, I strongly believe that all that happens, it is always according to God’s plan together with His love. Whatever success that may happen, in return we can say together “TO GOD BE THE GLORY!”
