Life is Art! Don't Give Up Hope!, and I Choose Joy! are some of the messages we all need right now! The SSV Sisters and girls in residence took time out, as the lock down order has slowly lifted, to decorate t-shirts with positive messages. During the pandemic lock down the SSV Sisters and Ain Karim children have been able to make use of the new GioiaARTS Room for some quarantine art therapy. The new art room was blessed and dedicated in February 2020 just prior to the Covid-19 lock down. The new art making space has the capacity to hold fifteen to twenty students at a time for community art classes offered to the children of neighboring Cati-an. Classes were temporarily suspended in March because of the pandemic however, the new space offered an unexpected and welcome outlet for art experiences for all the SSV family sheltering in place during the long lock down period in Borongan. The young children in residence were able to have daily art sessions! Classes for the community will resume when the school year resumes in Eastern Samar. Art making is for everybody at every age; beauty lifts the soul!
