EASTER JOY!

Cathy

After Two Years the Children of Ain Karim Return to Mass!

Magnificat! The children of Ain Karim Children's Home received an extra surprise on Easter - a return to Sunday Mass with the community of Cati-an, Brgy. Bato, Borongan City! The Corona virus pandemic has necessitated the children remain in a safe bubble to be extra cautious while protecting the children with compromised immune systems. SSV Mission Aid Bato chapel has been their community worship space for the past two years! A short van ride to the sitio of Cati-an took them to finally celebrate Easter with their friends ( wearing masks). As we all patiently looking for signs of life returning to a familiar rhythm in the US and around the world and we wish to put the pandemic behind us it is encouraging to see the children join in the Mass.

The SSV Sisters and children of Magnificat House welcomed Easter and a new child, Shantel, The SSV Sisters in Ol Moron and children celebrate the Risen Lord with the parish of St. Mark Catholic Church,

Holy Week and the Octave of Easter brought time for celebration and fun as Sr. Rubi took the children for a day at the beach and playing at the OLVYO youth ministry grounds by the sea in Riverside. The Sisters are preparing for their annual retreat during the first week in May. May the joy of Easter continue to resound in your heart with deepening sensitivity and awareness of the depth of God's Great Mercy. My Lord and My Salvation, Jesus, I Trust in You.
