The Guardians of the Visitation will once again participate in the largest one day global effort to create change in local communities through funding gifts, donations of goods and materials, and volunteerism. on November 30th. This is the fourth year Guardians of the Visitation has sponsored a giving event to benefit the Sisters Servants of the Visitation Mission in Borongan City, Eastern Samar, PH. Our theme for GivingTuesday2021 is "Bring to All the Smile of God". A letter writing campaign was kicked off November 1st to reach out to friends and family of the Guardians of the Visitation.
This is the one fundraiser sponsored by the Guardians each year and in the past the donations received have directly funded a new van for the orphanage and a kitchen rehab of the large main kitchen for the children. This year we hope to raise funds help the SSV Mission Aid Bato sustain outreach to the very poor during this time of continued world pandemic. The pandemic and subsequent lock downs and reductions in work hours has been particularly detrimental to the family economies of the poor. The SSV Sisters continue to offer aid to those God brings to their door and sustain the activities of the mission for the children while always being available to respond to needs of their neighbors. We join with the SSV Sisters in praying for an end of the pandemic and for the health and welfare of all God's people. May Our Mother of the Visitation protect and guide this mission and the Providence of God provide for its needs.
